It’s been a very busy Winter 2018 and Spring 2019, although it’s been quiet on this blog! The last few months have seen us building the commercial photography side of Mirror Imaging Photography, redesigning the website and working with an ever growing client base of creatives, small businesses and Plc’s. We’ve been spending time with the family’s of past wedding clients, capturing their loved ones, life achievements and growing babies! In January I was able to draw on twelve years industry experience and deliver a lecture to The Nottingham Trent University photography students on what running a business in photography is really like. I’ve also spent some precious time reconnecting with drawing (posting on my art page!), as well as working quietly on an exciting fine art photography project that I will be launching soon.
Accordingly our wedding season is a quiet one this year, and we are photographing weddings by request, rather than from any kind of intensive marketing. The utterly lovely side effect is we get to work with couples who seek us out, who really appreciate the quality and colour in our photographs, love our work ethos and for whom no other photographer will do! How lucky are we.
Sally and Ian’s wedding is getting closer, and it was time to take some pre-wedding images ahead of their Kelmarsh Hall wedding in early August. We planned the engagement shoot date weeks ago and happened to picked THE hottest day this summer. No matter; we had tree shade and backlight galore, and plenty of cold fizzy water afterwards. Sally and Ian are great company to spend time with, very gracious and kind, and clearly so good together. Here are the their photographs:
