We had the pleasure of photographing Michelle and Chris's nuptials to kick off 2017, with Mirror Imaging's first wedding of this year at Kelham House near Newark. Michelle and Chris wanted their day to focus on time with their friends and family so booked a half day of photography to capture the important moments. We joined the bridal party as Michelle was dressed and ready and were able to stay long enough to photograph through to the wedding breakfast. We loved the confetti shower, which was such a joyful moment, and the candlelit reception was so pretty. Here are their wedding day highlights.
Mirror Imaging will be at Kelham House on their wedding open day on 11th June this year. Contact Grace for more info. Read More
Today we met with Amy and Nick who are marrying early December in Burton Joyce, with their wedding reception at Kelham House Hotel in Newark. We chose Rufford Park for their pre-wedding photographs and it was a beautiful, crisp Autumn day, with the trees ablaze with reds, oranges and yellows. We walked toward the lake, stopping along the way when a pretty backdrop caught our eye. Here are our favourites from their session. Read More
Gemma and Alastair's wedding took place at the end of September, as the first signs of Autumn were showing - and what a beautiful time of year it is. Their ceremony was held at the quaint Coddington Church; nestled amongst berry-laden yew trees, with atmospheric low-light indoors and a rather fabulous statement ceiling over the alter. After a few photographs at the church and a shower of confetti, we made our way to Kelham House for their wedding reception. Gemma's peachy coloured bouquet seemed so perfect against the backdrop of Kelham's gardens and unmistakeable brickwork. The celebrations continued into the night, and we left them after dark. Last weekend we met up with Gemma and Alastair at Newstead Abbey for their engagement shoot. As they booked me over the phone for their wedding next month, it was the first time we'd met; the engagement shoot is a brilliant way of getting to know each other before the big day and make important wedding plans. The sun was beating down and we took a walk around the lake area and back up to the carpark, pausing to capture Gemma's bling. Oh, and they brought along their gorgeous Jack Russell Bailey, who absolutely loved having his photograph taken - look at that doggy smile! Read More
It was the first time we'd met Natasha and Sam at the weekend, as they booked me for their wedding over the phone. They easily got the hang of having their photo taken, showing a natural affection for one another. We're looking forward to their big day at Kelham House in August. Fingers crossed they get amazing sunshine on their wedding day too! Read More
Dawn and Nick were married on Friday in an intimate ceremony attended by just their immediate family. We wandered around the grounds of Kelham House in the afternoon, taking full advantage of the woodland setting and the sunlight streaming through the trees. Meanwhile, their family pulled up chairs around a big table and enjoyed Pimms under the shade of a tree. I absolutely love Dawn's bouquet, created after instructing her florist 'I don't care what flowers you use, as long as they're bright!'. Their wedding was relaxed and meaningful, just the way it should be. Read More
Dawn contacted me a while back after seeing me on Kelham House's list of recommended photographers and after speaking on the phone, she booked me for her wedding to Nick in July. It will be an intimate affair, no bridesmaids or best man, just a small number of their closest friends and family. This will be a lovely wedding to photograph; relaxed, personal and meaningful. We met up in Farnsfield to take a photo-walk amongst the trees and greenery, not forgetting a close-up of Dawn's incredibly pretty and unique pale sapphire engagement ring. Read More
